Control systems of speed (темпостат) and Speedtronic

General information

The control system of speed (темпостат) is included in a basic equipment of the considered models. The system allows to support automatically chosen cruiser speed of the movement of the car without impact on the accelerator pedal. Value of cruiser speed has to be not lower than 40 km/h. Application of a tempostat becomes especially convenient at long movement along the low-loaded direct country highways. For the purpose of safety it is not recommended to include темпостат at the movement in the city, on twisting, abounding with turns, to roads, on a slippery paving, in a heavy rain and at other adverse weather conditions. In the listed above cases the driver has to have an opportunity to completely control the mode of the movement of the car.



Misuse of a tempostat can be the reason of the road accident! Include a control system of speed only at movement along free highways and under favorable weather conditions.

During functioning of system there can be an automatic movement of the accelerator pedal which at the same time should not be held a leg in order to avoid damage of basic and axial mechanisms!

The lever switch of management of functioning of a tempostat is located at the left on a steering column, assemblies of the combined understeering switch are higher.

inclusion/switching off of system is made by means of the equipped built-in control lamp of the button of the main switch of a tempostat and is followed by operation of the corresponding control lamp on the car dashboard.

The switch of management of functioning of a tempostat is located on the right on a steering column


1 — Input of the current value of speed in memory of system (it is short-term to wring out the lever) / increase in speed (to hold the lever wrung out)

The design of the switch of a tempostat allows to enter into memory of system as the cruiser any current speed of the car if it exceeds value in 40 km/h, - rather quickly to wring out the lever up or down. After input of cruiser speed release the accelerator pedal.

Increase and decrease in value of cruiser speed is made by push-up of the lever up/down respectively.

Short-term acceleration of the car, for example at overtaking commission, can be made by squeezing of the accelerator pedal, - after a pedal otpuskaniye speed will automatically decrease to the tempostat of cruiser value brought in memory.

After dispersal of the car to speed over 40 km/h the cruiser speed brought in memory of a tempostat can be caused by short-term procrastination of the lever on itself.

Activate a call of cruiser speed from memory of system only if you know its value and are ready to the movement with it.

At the movement with included tempostaty under a bias and uphill there can be deviations from the set cruiser value of speed.

When turning a key in the ignition lock in situation 1 or 0 there is a dumping of the tempostat of cruiser value brought in memory.

Inclusion of a tempostat is made by push-up of the lever of the switch down.

The principle of functioning of a tempostat in the normal mode is similar described above for standard systems.

At the current speed of the movement lower than 35 km/h the design of a tempostat allows to introduce restriction of the high-speed mode with input in memory of a tempostat of value of speed admissible limit in 30 km/h. For activation of the limiter of speed it is also necessary to delay the switch lever down, - on the screen of the display value of 30 km/h is highlighted.

At the movement under a bias the current speed can exceed several extreme admissible value (30 km/h).

Order of use of the switch of a tempostat on the models equipped with the Speedtronic system

The Speedtronic system is темпостат with variable and constant limiters of speed.

The understeering switch of management allows to switch from the mode of a tempostat in the mode of restriction of speeds with change of own functions. Switching is made by pressing a face part of the handle of the lever of the switch.

In the mode of a tempostat of the instruction for use the switch are similar described above for standard systems.

Variable limiter of speed

The variable limiter of speed allows not to exceed due to restriction of turns of the engine some threshold of speed, for example, in need of observance of traffic regulations.



Do not forget that responsibility for excess of the high-speed mode is always born by the driver!

Activation of the mode of variable restriction of the high-speed mode is made by pressing a face part of the handle of the lever of the switch of a tempostat and is followed by operation of the yellow LIM indicator on the handle, the similar inscription is highlighted on the display screen.

The limiter is activated only provided that the current speed of the movement of the car differs from the extreme value brought in memory of system no more than on 30 km/h.

Change of value of speed limit is made by push-up of the lever of the switch up or down. The chosen value is displayed the information display. At the working engine input of any restriction of the high-speed mode, since value of 30 km/h is possible.

The set limit of speed can be exceeded only when squeezing the accelerator pedal against the stop (inclusion of the kickdown mode).

Exit from the mode of restriction can be made by short-term push-up of the lever from itself, or pressing an end face of its handle, - indication of LIM has to disappear from the display screen. Automatic shutdown of the limiter happens at dispersal of the car in the kickdown mode to the speed exceeding extreme value more than on 20 km/h.

If the limiter does not cope with an objective, for example, at the movement downhill, the alarm buzzer is activated, and the inscription LIM on the screen of the information display begins to blink.

Owing to design features of the indication of a speedometer can slightly differ from installations of the limiter of speed.

Unlike the mode of a tempostat squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake does not lead to shutdown of the limiter of speed.

Constant limiter of speed

By means of the constant limiter the maximum speed of the movement of the car can be limited, for example, at operation it with winter tires.

Restriction can be set in the range from 190 km/h to the speed possible limit of the movement of the car. The set constant restriction of speed continues to work also in case of activation of variable restriction.

For activation of the mode press a face part of the switch. transfer the lever of the AT selector to situation "P", and a key in the ignition lock - to situation 2 (the engine do not start). Then, having waited for about a second, pull the lever on yourself, - on the screen of the display value of speed will be highlighted. At a lever otpuskaniye indication will begin to blink, - installation of speed is made by procrastination of the lever up or down. Input of the chosen value in memory of system is made by procrastination of the lever on itself, - the confirming sound signal has to be distributed.
Installation dumping can be in case of need made, - increase the entered value until on the screen the threefold dash is not highlighted (---), then pull the lever on yourself to a sound signal.

At approach of the current speed of the movement of the car to the established extreme value the last is displayed information the display in combination with LIM mark.



Short-term indication in the flashing mode of the device of extreme value of speed entered into memory happens also at inclusion of ignition.
